Step
One: Preparing the Base for Tiered Product Placement Remove all the files from
the organizer. Cut two or more stair-stepped strips of foam to fit the
length and width of the file base. Wrap the strips in tissue, and then
place the strips into the bottom of the file organizer. Set one or more
files on the bottom strip of covered foam, and one or more files on the
second stair-stepped strip. All of the files should now be returned to
the organizer.
Step
Two: Placing Products in Tiered Rows
Step
Three: Building a Tall and Stable Back To achieve height and
provide a stable point to support shrinkwrap or cello wrap, the Baby
Briefcase will need a piece of supporting cardboard.
In this design, a sturdy strip of heavy cardboard was folded into
an inexpensive lightweight fleece blanket. Half of the folded blanket
was draped over the open, extended file organizer flap, with the
remainder (holding the tall cardboard strip) placed behind the file
organizer. To build a sturdier base that will prevent the tall, narrow
organizer from toppling to or fro, place a boxed and wrapped gift behind
the organizer. Use a narrow strip of cello tape to secure the box to the
file organizer, if needed.
Step
Four: Shrinkwrapping the Organizer -- keeping the pliable side flaps
straight.
Step
Five: Adding The High-Styled Cello Plume Strip-wrap the
shrinkwapped gift unit. Fold and square off a piece of matching cello.
Fold the cut square into a triangle, and then fold this triangle again
into a smaller triangle. Cut all the edges of the folded triangle so
that all the layers are now single units of triangular pieces. Divide
the units into three equal and stacked groups. With the tip of the first
set of triangles pointed away from you, grab the tip on the lower left
side of the triangle, lift it up and spiral-twist it in a
counterclockwise motion. Repeat the step on the right side. The triangle
should now resemble the shape of a cone.
Place a heavy object on this folded set of triangles. Make two
more folded triangles identical to the first.
Fold two pieces of colored tissue following the same steps used
to make the cello plumes. Combine all three folded sets of triangles
together. Place one
tissue plume on each side of the cello plume. Tie or wire all of the
gathered plumes tightly together, about two inches above the pointed
bases. Tie or wire the plumes in front of the gathered neck of cello on
the gift unit. Finish with a 2-loop bow of teal iridescent ribbon,
topped with a 2-loop lavender organza bow. Copyright Festivities Publications All Rights Reserved |
